Western Harbor Memorial on Flickr.

I took a trip with my parents to Gloucester, MA this past weekend to see the attractions around Cape Ann. My favorite part in the area was walking along the Western Harbor. There’s flags that line the walkway and a memorial to commemorate the thousands of lost seamen throughout the history of Gloucester.
The photo below is the Fisherman’s Wives Memorial, showing a young family looking out towards the sea, waiting for the father to return safely. There’s such a rich history here and I’m glad I visited this nearby town.
